Compliance and effective communication are key to success in the collections industry.
All HDCA collectors are recognized Certified Collectors by the American Collector Association, and have earned certified status through the IACC Certified Commercial Collector Program, or are working toward that end. Much of the IACC and ACA training focuses on the quality of communication with your customers, including adherence to the laws and regulations of our industry.
HDCA is committed to the highest professional standards, and we treat every individual with respect and dignity.
The regulations which govern collection activity in each state widely vary. Some require licensure, while others require registration and/or the posting of a bond. HDCA is compliant with the individual regulations in each state. Our compliance team oversees the following to help our organization and our clients manage an ever evolving regulatory landscape:
FDCPA and FCRA compliance
Review of contracts
Review of outgoing mail and faxes
Credit bureau management when appropriate (online deletion and updating of credit bureau reporting)
Written dispute process management
Letter review for FDCPA compliance
Research and knowledge of case law involving the collection industry
